What is Uncorkd?

Uncorkd is a social wine app for people who care about what they drink and who they share it with.

Check in the bottles you drink, see what your friends are pouring, and keep a private record of your own tasting history. Earn badges as you explore. It's built for remembering the wine and sharing the moment with a few close friends — not for managing a cellar or shouting into a public feed.

Who's behind it?

Two of us working nights and weekends as a passion project. Write directly through Settings → Feedback & Support. Every note gets read and answered.

Do I have to be 21?

You have to be of legal drinking age where you live (21 in the United States). You'll confirm this once when you sign in. Uncorkd isn't for anyone under that age.

Is Uncorkd iPhone-only?

Yes, Uncorkd is iPhone-only. The iPhone version of the app is also available for use on iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro.

Never say never, but as of now, we do not have plans to support Android or to offer a web version.

How do I sign in?

We only support sign-in with Apple. No passwords to remember, no email lists, and for many people it's a private relay address rather than your real email. We never see your Apple password.

Is it free?

Uncorkd is free to download and use. Every social feature — check-ins, the friend feed, reactions, badges, friend invites — is free. A few extras live in The Cellar, an optional membership (more below).

How do you make money?

We support the app with Cellar memberships — not ads, not data. We will never sell your information, share it with advertisers, or clutter the app with ads. Membership is what keeps Uncorkd independent.

What's in The Cellar?

The Cellar is an optional membership that unlocks:

• Sommelier notes — a Master Sommelier's read on any bottle: how it tastes, what to pair it with, when to open it.
• Wine-list recommendations — photograph a restaurant's wine list and get a confident pick matched to your taste, meal, and budget.
• Personal insights — a recap of where you've enjoyed wine, the styles you reach for, and how your palate is changing, to keep and share.
• Make it yours — get access to exclusive accent colors and alternate app icons.
• Badge spoilers — activate badge spoilers and you can see every badge available on Uncorkd and how to earn it. Keep it off if you prefer living in a spoiler-free zone.
• Export your data — download every check-in you've logged as CSV and JSON, anytime.

The Cellar comes with a free trial and then requires an annual or monthly subscription. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

Are the AI features private?

When you scan a label, scan a wine list, or ask for sommelier notes, the photo or wine details you provide are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate your result. That data is used only to answer your request — never to train AI models, and never sold. We do not send any identifying information about you to OpenAI. The AI features are optional; you choose when to use them. Full details are in the privacy policy.
